I find it stupid that kids wait forever to get out of their parents version of Hell just to go to college and learn that was only the door. I'm sick of going from one school to another because a teacher either loves my homework and steals it, a guy stalks and spikes me, and the state comes after me for writting about some idiotic thing They did and put me in a mental institution for three years to die. I wish I had a genie: I'd ask for good parents, clean education, and tell Suddam Hussein he missed Condelezza Rice. All I wanted was to getan education, married...My queston is where can I get the most valuable education for my buck?

Comment on Executive Presence, Can it be Taught? by Carol Keers

I completely agree that executive presence can be taught - at any age. We've all met extremely mature 20-somethings and 50-year-olds who act with stunning immaturity. Executive presence has no connection to chronological age. Our new book, "Seeing Yourself As Others Do - Authentic Executive Presence At Any Stage Of Your Career" illustrates this with specific techniques, strategies and approaches in areas such as command of the room, leveraging your influence and power, expectation setting and many other areas. It makes a tremendous difference to be aware of your impact - ignorance is not bliss. You can read more about it at www.seeingyourselfasothersdo.com or at www.changemasters.com.

Hello Michael,

I like these answers a lot. For most people life is about building and defending certainties, attaining a maximum of convenience. This attitude is in ever growing conflict with the increasing turmoil (or whitewater) of our professional lives. You must have read a book or two ;-)

Best regards,

David

Update.

The CIO again pushed the new system. It was a approved and the project has been underway for over a year. It's way over budget, with no end in sight.
