All my solutions: programs, as well as advice, consulting, and coaching, are primarily one-to-one, over Skype. I do my best to book the sessions, ad hoc, when you need them. Video calls are recorded and you get to keep the video for personal use only, forever. Sure, Skype isn’t as good as in-the-flesh training. There’s a loss of fidelity.
The benefits, however, are great:

- Customized experiences
- Small, manageable chucks of time and learning
- Blended learning
- Non-intrusive video recordings
What’s shifting?
You want solutions right away. You don’t want to wait for the next training, 6 weeks from now or for the next time I am in their city, 6 months from now. You want solutions NOW! You want to get started right away.
You want customized experiences. You want an expert to address your unique challenges. You want a rapid, breakthrough. You don’t want to spend time going over things you already know, and you don’t want to blow by topics and skills you desperately need to master. Further, the data is overwhelming: one-on-one mentoring is the most efficient and effective training on the planet. One-on-one mentoring is better than classroom training by two standard deviations!
Time is premium. You CAN find an hour in your schedule, but NOT whole days! You want training in workable, small chucks of time.
Blended Learning is Best. When teaching content and skills, a mix of self-study, discussion, modeling, exercises, coaching, and self-practice produces powerful results. You learn faster, and the new understandings and behavior stick much longer. To move to the next level, you absorb and live the changes, right?
It’s good for me too.
- I have always preferred one-on-one over group training, but previously it was uneconomical.
- No meeting room arrangements, catering, corporate billing
- Less travel, more efficient use of my time
- Free to work from anywhere in the world, and since my wife and I are often on different continents, this is pretty darn handy.
It’s good for the earth: screen sharing, video, and digital transmission saves paper and transportation costs, leaving a greener footprint
“Nowism” This is the beauty of ubiquitous, high-speed internet: What you need, when you need it! On-demand expertise: mentoring, advice, consulting, and coaching, what’s not to like?
